• Type: Vigorous climbing vine

• Lifespan: Can produce fruit for 30+ years

• Time to Fruit: 3–5 years from planting

☀️ Climate Requirements

• Temperate climate preferred – warm summers and mild winters

• Needs 200–700 chill hours (below 45°F / 7°C) depending on variety

• Late frosts can damage flowers and young shoots

🧱 Soil & Site

• Well-drained, fertile soil

• Slightly acidic to neutral pH (5.5–7.0)

• Needs full sun and protection from wind

• Provide a strong trellis or arbor – vines can grow 20–30 ft long!
